From our family to yours .... hoping you have a wonderful New Year!!

We have our new photo album up and ready with photos of the new shop. Hope you enjoy them!

I also want to take the time to thank all of our friends and family. We could not have come this far without you and we love you! We do not call all the time like we should and we do not keep in touch as much as we should, but know you are thought of daily. We never forget friends and family. Thank you all for your support, love and kindness during our difficult times.

We are currently purchasing many crafts for the shop. If you are interested in selling your art at Runningbears Den, you must present your federal enrollment card at the time of our purchase. We want to keep things hand crafted by members of federally recognized tribes. If you are interested in selling to us, you can contact us at :

Please put "Artwork" in the subject line. You will need to let us know what you make, your name and contact info and your tribal affiliation when you contact us.

We pride ourselves in being compliant with the Native American Arts and Crafts Act and we are one of the only stores in Gatlinburg and Cherokee that does not sell imports.

For those of you ordering from us online, please let us know what you are looking for and we will do our best to help you out until I can get all of our items online. We are getting there, it is just taking some time to do so.

We finally found a prime location in Gatlinburg, TN and we moved our shop from Cherokee to Gatlinburg. It has been a long hard road getting here but wow, it has been a dream come true!

Our home is still in Cherokee, NC. That is not going to change but our business was seasonal and we wanted to get more exposure so we found a place that stays open for tourists year round.

We are located in the Mountain Mall at traffic light #6 in Gatlinburg, TN. We are on Level F. There is an escalator and an elevator so there is no excuse not to come by.

This has been a big step for us. If you got the opportunity to come and see us while we were open at our other location, you will have to agree that this is one big step up. I knew we were in for bigger and better things but I had no clue this would be the way things all worked out.

I will soon be able to update the items on the site regularly. I can already tell you that it will always be changing because we will not be keeping the same things. As you know, we don't carry imports that are mass produced. We only carry hand crafted items and due to that fact alone, many items are one of a kind. Please grab them when you see them on the site because there is no guarantee that they will be in the shop for long. I can see now that it is going to be a full time job to keep up with the site, but one I am willing to do.

When you are in the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area, make sure you come on by and see what we have to offer. Winter is here and frost and snow is starting to fall and crystalize on these mountains. What a sight!!

UPDATES

Wow, have we been busy! As you can see, our entire site has been revamped and we are constantly adding new things to the site. The opening of the shop in Gatlinburg has just been great. The people that we have met, locals and tourists have all been wonderful! We have been made to feel so welcome here in Tn and though it is not actually home, they have all went above and beyond in making us feel welcome.

We only get to go back to Cherokee two days a week now and during that time, we restock up on crafts that we are sold out of. Our crafters have been more than busy lately. With the fall colors coming in soon, I have no doubt that they will continue to stay busy.

From the bottom of our hearts ...

THANK YOU ALL
